Statement from Summit about Rachelle LeFevre
In response to the massive media outburst over the recasting of Rachelle LeFevre in Eclipse, Summit Entertainment released a press release attempting to clear up some matters:
"We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre’s recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. Her decision to discuss her version of the scheduling challenges publicly has forced the Studio to set the record straight and correct the facts.
Ms. Lefevre’s representatives were advised as early as April that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was expected to start shooting in early August.
If Ms. Lefevre was, as she describes “passionate,” about being part of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, we feel that she and her representatives would have included us in her decision to work on another film that would conflict with the shooting schedule of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.
It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to BARNEY’S VERSION, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.
Furthermore Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE’s principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production.
Contrary to Ms. Lefevre’s statement, it is simply untrue that the Studio dismissed her over a ten day overlap. It is not about a ten day overlap, but instead about the fact that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmaker and most importantly the story.
The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to the other project -- which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment -- makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE."

Rachelle LeFevre on Surprising Recasting of Victoria
So apparently it turns out that Rachelle DID NOT know they were recasting the role of Victoria in Eclipse! Apparently, she was recast because she couldn't attend shooting for ten days!“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’” Rachelle said in a statement to Access Hollywood."
“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria,” Rachelle continued, explaining the turn of events that led to the casting change. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”
“I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the ‘Twilight’ audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of ‘Eclipse’ only the very best,” she said.

Jackson Rathbone & Make A Wish
The actor, who played Jasper Hale in the vampire love story, spends his spare time performing with two friends in the rock group 100 Monkeys.
And when Rathbone heard that a Twilight fan is suffering from terminal cancer, he vowed to make her dreams come true.
He's offered to let 14-year-old Dorothy hang out backstage with the band at Saturday's (01Aug09) show in Dallas, Texas - and the star is convinced the selfless act is the least he could do.
The 24 year old says, “We’re all very lucky people and helping others makes us who we are.""
Aww! Jackson's so nice =]

Bryce Dallas Howard Replaces Rachelle Lefervre in Eclipse

Summit Entertainment announced today that actress Bryce Dallas Howard, most recently seen in McG's Terminator Salvation, will be replacing Rachelle Lefevrein the role of Victoria for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third film in the series directed by David Slade (30 Days of Night). The reason given for the casting change was Lefevre's scheduling conflicts for another film to which she was committed.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is Team Edward
"Who's not Team Edward?" she asked MTV News at Comic-Con, where she and her "Ghost Whisperer" co-stars talked about the fifth season of their supernatural CBS series. "There is not a girl in the world who's not Team Edward! Have you met girls who are not Team Edward? Well, they are not girls! They're aliens from another planet who should not be allowed to exist."
Unfortunately for Hewitt, she didn't get a chance to meet Robert Pattinson at Comic-Con, but at the same time, she isn't sure she'd have the capabilities to handle an encounter with him in the flesh. "I'd pass out. I can't talk about it, 'cause I'd pass out," she said. "It's because he's Edward. Listen, Edward can fly you through the forest. He's like Aladdin with vampire teeth — there's magic-carpet rides. He can sing. He can watch you sleep. He plays music. He sniffs your neck. I mean, please!"

Yet Another IESB Interview =]
Following yesterday's interview with Kristen and Taylor, IESB has posted yet another interview with Alice Cullen actress Ashley Greene and director Chris Weitz!
Q: Were there any surprises in directing this?
Chris: I think the surprise for me was the tremendous infusion of oxygen that came when the cast showed up. You've got a script, and you've got that all squared away. You search for your locations, and that's enormously tedious. I feel like I saw every tree in British Columbia. And then, these wonderful people show up, whose job it is to impersonate other people and creatures, and that brings this delightful element to it. That's when I really, really started to enjoy the process.
Q: Ashley, how were the relationships with the cast, this time around?
Ashley: With any relationship, the longer you know someone, the closer you can become with them. But, the amount of attention that's on this project and the amount of insanity surrounding it has changed all of our lives, but it's happened to us together. I think it's definitely had an impact on how close we've gotten and how quickly we've gotten that close because there's a bond formed in that. Who else are you going to ask about something like this? Nobody else is going through it. So, with the second film, I became a lot closer with a few people.
Now, does Ashley's comment mean Rob and Kristen are dating and having a wild affair (as all the tabaloids say!) NOOOO!

Kristen and Taylor: Awesome New Interview!
IESB has a nice and long new interview with Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner! Check out clips below and read the whole thing here!
Q: How does it feel to be working on such a popular film with such a huge fan base?
Kristen: It feels good. There's nothing bad. Trying to describe what it feels like is so funny. Everyone feels like we're nervous about the pressure and having approval, but this art form is so subjective, anyway. People say, "I love this book. I'm obsessed with it." And, we can say, "Well yeah, me too.' Everything is better, if you're on some sort of common ground. It's like fire. There's nothing better than sharing passion. This is so far out of our scope of what's going on in our head, when we're shooting a movie. It was strange having fans so close, but like Chris Weisz said, it's like doing theater when they stand up and clap after every take, and sit there very quietly organized, in little rows, and try not to disturb us while we're all in character. It's a little bit more pressure, but at the same time it was motivating.
Q: When the Twilight saga is done, how will you feel about getting your life back?
Taylor: I'm so thankful to be a part of this, and I'm having a lot of fun doing it. I've made a lot of great friendships with everybody that I've worked with, and we've got a while left. I haven't really started thinking about that yet because it's my main focus right now.
Kristen: Yeah, which is good, I guess. I can't wait to be finished because, when I start a movie initially, I'm dying to get it done. I'm thinking about something all the time and I want to go through the experience. I want to do the scenes and I want to make sure that we do them right. And, in this case, I have so much ahead of me. Usually, I have six weeks and, at the end of the six weeks, we will have made our product. We will have gone through everything that we wanted to. But, in this case, I have to wait, literally, years. So, I'm waiting to get it done. I want it to be done.
